State Street has appointed Michael Bell as executive vice president(EVP) and member of its Management Committee, the company’s most senior policy-making and strategy group.
Bell will become CFO in August upon the retirement of Edward Resch, who has served in the role for eleven years. Bell will then report to Jay Hooley, State Street’s chairman, president and CEO.
Bell was most recently CFO of Manulife Financial Corporation. Prior to Manulife, Bell held senior executive roles at Cigna Corporation, including seven years as CFO.
