Mike Alexander and Reggie Lang have accepted offers to join Wachovia Securities Media and Communications Investment Banking Group, the firm announced Thursday. Alexander, a managing director, and Lang, a director, will answer to group head John White.
“Mike has more than 12 years of experience focusing on both media and telecom companies and has a great track record advising clients and bringing innovative ideas to the table. Reggie has spent the past seven years in the media industry working on some of the most significant transactions in the space, White says. Both Mike and Reggie will be great additions to the Wachovia platform.”
Alexander moves to Wachovia from a post at JP Morgan, where he served as a managing director Technology, Media and Telecom Investment Banking Group in New York.
During his time as managing director at JP Morgan, Alexander was responsible for the origination of M&A, equity, high yield and bank debt transactions for clients in cable, satellite, radio and television broadcasting sectors.
Also moving from JP Morgan, Lang joins Wachovia after serving as a vice president in the Technology, Media and Telecom Banking Group. At JP Morgan, Lang oversaw account coverage across media sectors and was responsible for many M&A, equity and debt transactions.
