Mutual Fund Technologies (MFT)’s GFAS system has passed the $450 bn mark in assets under administration. A year ago GFAS passed $250 bn. In the last twelve months assets under administration have grown by over 80%. Today, GFAS supports over 10 million account holdings, 100 fund groups and 5000 funds.

Growth can be attributed to the organic growth of existing customers, new client take-ons and an increase in the popularity of Funds Network in the UK, Germany and Taiwan. The news also provides further evidence that Europe’s top fund managers are increasingly turning to specialist third parties to manage critical back office functions. As managers focus on their core business and respond to customer demand for growth, they are reaching out for the economies of scale and savings on offer from ‘best in class’ providers. Key to partnering is a company’s ability to demonstrate industry leading dependability and scalability.

“As a company we focus on three key building blocks – reliability, stability and innovation,” says David White, MFT Operations and Client Services Director. “Everything we do as an organisation is centered on improving our customers’ ability to provide cost effective back office processing.”

MFT is a specialist transfer agency and consulting company, which provides three core services: software, managed services and consulting. Software involves providing access to a range of software modules covering transfer agency, workflow, straight through processing, foreign exchange and call centre technologies. Managed services includes providing and managing two dual data centres covering hardware, software, operational management and running of systems and infrastructure. Consulting involves consultancy services specialising in all aspects of transfer agency, as well as related areas of investment management operations.
