Software company RTS Realtime Systems will provide the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV) with a new front-end technology for the BMV equity market.
RTS has already provided technology to derivatives exchange MexDer, a BMV subsidiary, since 2009.
The new software will allow users to access both the equity and derivatives markets and their market data on a single, exchange-provided trading screen. It also includes the ability to utilize sophisticated RTS risk management technology to control access to all available asset classes, according to a statement.
We are pleased to offer our members the sophisticated new capabilities and speed provided by RTD Trader, RTS solution for click traders, says Alfredo Guillen, COO of Equity Markets at BMV Group. As our members are increasingly interested in trading across asset classes, this new deployment will bring them the opportunity to easily access and participate in the equity and derivatives markets alike.
Timo Pentner, RTS Managing Director for the Americas, adds: Were very proud to expand on the important relationship we have established with the BMV Group and its markets. For algorithmic trading, members can easily transition to our RTD Tango Trader solution which combines click and algorithmic trading. With this we support sophisticated order execution capabilities including the ability to automate all types of orders.
RTS has been expanding to emerging markets recently, providing connectivity services to exchanges in China and Brazil.
