Mercer has signed an agreement to acquire Pensjon & Finans, a Norwegian-based investment and pension consulting firm.

Closing of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval and other conditions. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Pensjon & Finans was established in 1997 and covers the public and private sector institutional markets. Existing clients of Pensjon & Finans will have access to Mercers broad range of services while being served by the same consultants they are used to.

Espen Klw, CEO of Pensjon & Finans, will become head of Mercer Investment Consulting in Norway after the acquisition is finalized. Caspar Holter, founder of Pensjon & Finans, will remain at Mercer.
