Mellon Financial Corporation announced that Nancy Pellegrino has been promoted to regional president of Washington for its Private Wealth Management group, responsible for leading the group’s sales and portfolio management efforts across the Pacific Northwest.
Pellegrino will also oversee Mellon’s private banking services – including deposit, credit and mortgage products – all of which are being offered in the region for the first time.
Pellegrino replaces John Cortis, who will serve as regional president for Mellon Private Wealth’s northern California region. Pellegrino is based in Seattle and reports to executive director David Holst.
“With her leadership talents, strong client and community focus, and sharp market insights, Nancy is wonderfully suited to this role,” said Holst. “Her contributions to Mellon have been many, and we’re delighted to have her leading our organization in the Pacific Northwest.”
Pellegrino has more than 25 years of investment management and trust experience. Prior to her new role, she was Mellon Private Wealth’s senior sales director for six years.
Before joining Mellon, she was senior vice president and regional sales manager for the Midwest region of BancOne’s private asset management group. She received her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and graduated from Northwestern University’s Graduate Trust School.
