Mellon Investor Services (MIS) has been appointed to continue as transfer agent and registrar for MetLife, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, MIS will manage all stock transfer activities for the company’s approximately 6 million beneficial shareholders.
MIS began providing MetLife’s transfer agent services in 2000. “MIS’ recognized leadership in the industry, its willingness to partner with us, its innovative and flexible technology, and the ongoing investment in its capabilities were overriding factors in our decision to remain with Mellon,” said Gwenn Carr, MetLife senior vice president and secretary. “MetLife and MIS have built a collaborative, solutions-oriented business relationship that continually meets the special, extraordinarily large and complex needs of our business. Additionally, MIS offers a stable environment to our shareholder community.”
“MetLife continues to be a valued business partner and this renewal demonstrates their ongoing trust in the quality of our services and strong leadership. They are among the many financial services companies that turn to us for their investor services needs,” said Julian Clark, MIS managing director.
