Mellon Investor Services (MIS) announced today that Barton Hill has been appointed as chief marketing officer, responsible for developing branding strategies and creating and executing marketing programs.

Barton joined Mellon in April 2003 as the national sales manager. Hill brings more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong background in business and relationship development. Prior to joining Mellon, he was the general manager of ADP Investor Communication Services’ global proxy services unit, where he led business development efforts outside of North America. His background includes similar positions at Bankers Trust, Citibank and Shearson Lehman Hutton. Hill received a bachelor’s degree from Union College in Schenectady, New York and a master’s degree in business administration from New York University.
