The Human Resources & Investor Solutions (HR&IS) business of Mellon Financial Corporation has made a number of new appointments in its Investment Practice. These new members of staff join following a series of other recent appointments.

Chris Riley joins Mellon HR&IS as Research Analyst from a large regional IFA, where he assisted with the investment research process. Riley holds an MSc in Economics and Finance and has fulfilled the academic requirements leading to the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

This follows the appointment of Marian George, who recently joined Mellon HR&IS as a Senior Investment Consultant from Hymans Robertson to provide general investment advice, including investment strategy reviews, manager selections and transitions to clients. George has extensive knowledge of fixed interest assets and the major institutional investment managers’ bond products. Prior to moving into consultancy, George worked for Norwich Union in a variety of investment-related roles.

Paul Black, Head of Investment Consulting, said: “We are delighted both Marian and Chris have joined us, and these are key appointments in our expansion plans for the business. Marian’s experience in the industry will enable us to continue to grow our customer base while Chris’s appointment underlines the importance we attach to our dedicated internal research team.”

Further appointments will be announced shortly.
