Mellon Financial Investments announced that the company set to launch a new fund that will be managed by its Japanese branch.

Nikko Mellon GW Select Best Nine Fund, the new fund, will be managed by Mellon Global Investments Japan and is expected to have an initial aggregate size of over $3 billion.

The fund is designed, Mellon says, to bring in returns through international diversification across nine asset classes, which combine traditional equities and bonds with alternative investments.

Investors will also have the choice of choosing two different levels of risk when setting up their portfolios, one “aggressive” and one “moderate.”
