Medidata Solutions, a provider of hosted clinical development applications, has filed for an IPO with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company has been backed by venture capital and private equity firms Insight Venture Partners, Milestone Venture Partners, Stonehenge Capital Fund and Globalnet Partners.
Whilst Medidata aims to sell newly issued common stock, the number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.
Citi and Credit Suisse Securities will act as the joint bookrunning managers for the proposed offering.
