The Bank of New York announced that Matthew W. McKean has joined the Bank as a vice president of private client services in New Jersey. Mr. McKean brings to the Bank over fifteen years of financial services experience.

His primary responsibility will be to provide wealth management expertise to New Jersey’s residents.

He will be based at the Bank’s New Jersey Private Client Services headquarters in West Paterson.

Mr. McKean will report to John C. Babcock, senior vice president in charge of New Jersey’s Private Client Services at The Bank of New York. Mr. Babcock remarked, “We are excited to have an expert like Matthew who will bring a sophisticated understanding of wealth management services to meet the needs of our clients.”

Mr. McKean previously served as a vice president at Merrill Lynch in their private client services group. He worked with financial advisors to design and deliver a comprehensive suite of private planning services dedicated to clients with substantial wealth.
