Fortis has appointed Matthew Png Bee Seng as Managing Director of Fortis Clearing Asia.
Png reports to Barry Parker, Managing Director of Fortis Clearing Sydney and Regional Manager of Fortis Clearing Asia Pacific.
“I am very pleased that Matthew, with his ample experience of the futures industry, will be managing our Singapore Office,” says Parker. “He is an important addition to our growing team in the Asia-Pacific region”.
Png has spent his entire career in the futures industry, having started in 1983 at Bank of America, where he was responsible for setting up BA Futures Simex Floor Operation. He worked for over 16 years at BA futures Inc, where he held increasingly senior positions including Sales and Trading Manager SE Asia and Vice President. From 1991 to 1993 he was also SIMEX Director and Chairman of the Floor Trading Committee.
Png most recently worked as Vice President, Head of Sales at ABN Amro Futures Ltd. in Singapore. He was responsible for formulating and implementing business strategies, marketing strategies and for supervising market activities in Singapore. He was also responsible for human resources planning and recruitment.
