The ifs School of Finance, an educational charity offering finance-related qualifications to industry and the wider community, has appointed Martin Day to the newly created post of director of higher education and executive development.
Day has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, holding senior positions within strategic development, relationship management and product development roles within NatWest and RBS.
In 2004, Day joined Henley Management College, where he gained his MBA, as market development director with responsibility for developing tailored MBA programmes and extending the range of executive development programmes.
In 2006 he was appointed director of international business, repositioning Henley’s international representation and building partnership activities.
“I am delighted to be embarking upon this fresh challenge, particularly as the ifs School of Finance is currently in the process of applying for taught degree awarding powers,” Day says. “I am keen to play a part in the next phase of our development as an independent body with degree-awarding powers responding quickly and effectively to the educational needs of the financial services sector.”
