New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer has concluded his bid-rigging investigation of Marsh & McLennan Cos, but he does not see a quick settlement with the world’s biggest insurance brokerage.
The attorney general added that although he has been a friend of Marsh & McLennan new chief executive officer, Michael Cherkasky, “it doesn’t mean there will be an immediate or quick resolution; there are factual inquiries that have to be concluded.” “There are other issues and embers that have been raised that deserve to be pursued,” he told Reuters.
