Mark Roberts Joins RREEF as Global Head of Research

Mark Roberts joins RREEF, the real estate investment business of Deutsche Banks Asset Management division, as a managing director and global head of research.

Mark Roberts joins RREEF, the real estate investment business of Deutsche Banks Asset Management division, as a managing director and global head of research.

In this new role, Roberts will oversee the research teams that support RREEFs global real estate investment process. He is also a member of RREEF’s global investment committee. He is based in New York and reports to Kurt Roeloffs, global chief investment officer of RREEF.

Roberts brings more than 25 years of real estate experience to RREEF. He joins from Invesco Real Estate where he was most recently the global director of research, chairman of the firms investment strategy group and a member of the executive and investment committees. Before working at Invesco Real Estate, where he held many leadership roles in research since 1996, Roberts was director of development/construction for Club Corp International, a global hospitality company, in Dallas, Texas.

Roberts holds a Master of Real Estate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana and attended the Graduate School of Management at the University of Dallas. He is the incoming chairman of the board of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, was the former president of the Real Estate Research Institute and a former member of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries Fund-Index Subcommittee. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has authored a chapter for The Handbook of Alternative Investments and contributed several research and strategy papers to the Institute for Fiduciary Education.
