JPMorgan Investor Services (JPMIS) has hired Marie Konstance from ITG to lead sales of its Information Products group. Konstance will report to Information Products Executive John Phinney.

“We are pleased to welcome Marie to JPMorgan,” says Phinney. “Marie’s depth of knowledge and experience in the financial services industry will give us a defining edge in the marketplace as we focus on the fundamental issue of trade cost containment in the current economic climate.”

Konstance will be responsible for building and directing the sales effort of JPMIS’s Total Cost Management product, which aims to enable plan sponsors, asset managers and broker dealers to benchmark performance throughout the pre-trade, trade

process. It was created out of two recent acquisitions – Plexus Group and Inalytics – and the Wall Street equity research evaluator, Investars, plus data Morgan generates in its settlement and custody activities.

“The breadth and depth of technology that JPMIS is bringing to the industry will be an enormous help to managers in controlling costs, refining their strategies and getting the most from their brokers,” says Konstance.

From 1995, Konstance was senior vice president and head of analytical product sales and business development at Investment Technology Group, Inc. (ITG), a provider of technology-based equity trading services. From 1991 to 1995 she worked at PaineWebber, Inc., as first vice president in their equity derivatives division.

Prior to that she served as director of marketing for Automated Data Processing, Inc., in their Institutional Markets Division; she was vice president, equity derivative products at The First Boston Corporation, Inc., and manager of analytical valuation systems at Morgan Stanley, Inc.

Konstance is a graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, where she received a Masters of Business Administration in June 1982. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colgate University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
