Marco Strimer, the CEO of SIS x-clear AG, has been appointed as new member of the Executive Board of SIS Swiss Financial Services Group AG with effect from 1 January 2007. The decision to promote Marco Strimer was taken at the meeting of the SIS Group’s Board of Directors on 24 November 2006.
Strimer, an accredited banking and securities specialist with a wealth of international experience, has very successfully led SIS x-clear as CEO for the past two years. This includes his valuable contribution to the new function which SIS x-clear will assume in 2007 as the Central Counterparty of London Stock Exchange (LSE) and direct competitor of LCH.Clearnet.
In 1994, Strimer joined former INTERSETTLE as Head of Customer Services & Quality Assurance. When, in May 1999, the company merged with SEGA to form SIS SegaInterSettle AG, he took charge of the Marketing division and in January 2002 he was appointed Member of the Executive Board of SIS SegaInterSettle AG. Marco Strimer has been the CEO of SIS x-clear AG since March 2005.
