DST International has signed an agreement in Taipei with Manulife Financial to install HiContact -its document management solution – in the insurer’s Taiwanese operations. Although Manulife uses DST elsewhere, thi is the first time HiContact(AWD) has been installed for a client in Taiwan.
Manulife Taiwan will use HiContact(AWD) for all back-office filing. The HiContact(AWD) workstations will be used for imaging purposes for all its life assurance operations that include new business, claims, policy servicing and its call centre.
“HiContact (AWD) is a group standard of Manulife globally,” explains Ruth Wu, Manulife Taiwan’s assistant vice president of operations. “Based on the successful implementation of this technology in a number of Manulife operations, HiContact (AWD) was the obvious choice when we considered implementing an imaging system.”
Manulife has also installed HiContact(AWD)workstations in their Hong Kong, Vietnam, Canadian and US operations.”We are pleased that Manulife is expanding its usage of HiContact(AWD) to include its office in Taiwan,” says Mike Winn, DSTi’s group managing director. “Manulife’s move to a paperless, process-centric environment illustrates their commitment to higher performance goals and enhanced customer service.”
