Michael Aschauer, David Penstone and Andreas Petzl are leaving UniCredit’s global securities services business.

Aschauer, Global Head of Custody, and Penstone, Global Head of Sales & Business Development, are pursuing careers outside UniCredit.

Petzl, Head of Group Sales & Relationship Management, has decided to move to UniCredit Bank Austrias Planning & Controlling Division, working for the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.

Sven Trahan, Petzl’s replacement, was previously in charge of Business Development for CEE Custody stated: “The departures have left some openings. My colleagues’ decisions to leave were based on personal reasons and that each had expressed that they had to regrettably make a tough choice. It is an unfortunate situation but we are dealing with it by appointing new management that creates new opportunities and ensures continued success.”

Attila Szalay-Berzeviczy has been appointed Aschauer’s replacement. Szalay-Berzeviczy started his career in 1990 at Budapest Bank’s Foreign Operations Division before joining Bank Austria Creditanstalt’s International Markets Division in 1999. Between 2004 and 2008 he was the Chairman of the Budapest Stock Exchange and member of the board of the Federation of European Securities Exchanges.

Gnter Schnaitt has been appointed Head of Custody Austria. Having worked in custody business since 1989, he has been directly involved in the successful set up of Bank Austria’s Remote Clearing product, and also an active member of the T2S Advisory Group, EBF Securities Operations Issues Group and all Austrian market committees.

Trahan worked as both a Securities Trader and Business Analyst before joining UniCredit Group in 2007. Recently, Trahan, in a principal support role to Global Custody Management, has been responsible for business planning and strategy setting for all CEE locations, and new market analysis.
