Townsend Analytics says Man Financial has bought its RealTick market data, analytics, and direct market access (DMA) trading platform. Its clients can trade equities, futures, options and Contracts for Difference (CFDs) across a number of markets electronically, using the platform.
RealTick aims to support algorithmic and basket trading with order management tools that cover conditional, reserve, discretionary, pegged, stop and worked orders designed to help users manage their trading and lessen the market impact of a trade.
“RealTick provides the most advanced order entry, routing and risk management functionality available, eliminating the need for multiple trading platforms and programs,” says Charles Taylor, Director of GNI Touch. “And RealTick allows us to provide more clients with the ability to trade a broader range of asset classes–using a single, constantly evolving platform that caters to our clients’ current and future needs.”
The European license agreement with Man builds on an existing relationship between the US Man Securities Inc. and RealTick. Since 2003, internal traders and institutional clients of Man Securities Inc have used RealTick to trade futures, options and equities on the North American markets.
“As well as being the largest futures and options broker in the world, Man Financial is London’s biggest writer of CFDs,” says Rustam Lam, Managing Director, TAL Europe (Townsend Analytics). “RealTick users will enjoy a wider range of products than ever. We’re pleased to be their platform of choice for deployment and client access to their execution capabilities, and look forward to working closely with them to grow the electronic business globally.”
RealTick delivers a wide range of North American and European market data and trading capability across equity, futures, options, fixed income, and foreign exchange markets, unlimited depth of book, advanced research and analytical tools, risk and account management tools, as well as direct trading connectivity to major pools of liquidity such as listed exchanges in the US and overseas, ECNs and broker specific destinations.
One of the first direct-access trading platforms, Townsend Analytics’ RealTick is widely used by institutional and active traders in 94 countries and territories.
