Macquarie Bank Ltd has reported a net profit of A$916 million, up 13% from the previous years A$812 million. The company said full-year revenue is up to A$4.393 billion from A$3.752 billion.

This report comes on the heels of news that Macquarie is involved in another deal, the financial restructuring of Eurotunnel, the operator of the cross channel tunnel between France and the UK.

We expect the trading businesses to benefit from geographic and product expansion and from continued good equity broking volumes, says Macquaries chief executive Allan Moss said. ‘The bank expects to maintain leading market positions in Australia and focused positions in international markets.
