Lynx Wealth Management Systems has appointed Douglas Cooper as director of sales – funds.

Cooper has seven years experience in finance IT, with the past two and a half years being spent as UK sales manager for Misys. He also spent a number of years as director of sales, Europe for Surecomp. Prior to this, he was both a business analyst and project manager for SEB Merchant Bank, where he was responsible for developing in-house applications to increase automation and efficiency. He also was project manager for the centralisation of the bank’s back office systems.

“I am delighted to have joined the team at Lynx,” says Cooper. “Having worked for both solutions providers and financial institutions I have a good understanding of what is important when evaluating financial systems. Fund managers are looking for solutions to business problems not just software, which is at the heart of Lynx’s proposition.”

In this new role, Cooper will be responsible for strengthening the senior sales team and increasing the company’s present focus on the fund management, arena.

“Douglas brings to Lynx an impressive track record in sales management and systems development which will further strengthen our senior team,” says John Mosedale, Lynx’s managing director. “Douglas’s appointment reflects our commitment, in particular to our fund management customers, as we strive to further develop our 4Series software to help them solve their business challenges.”

Cooper has a BSc (Hons.) in Information Systems Management.
