Lynx Wealth Management Systems has appointed Ian Lockwood as Director of Sales – Banking.
Lockwood took up his position on 4 August with the provider of software solutions for the offshore and wealth management industry. With over 14 years in the finance industry, Lockwood is responsible for driving the sales of Lynx’s private and offshore banking systems and taking the company into new financial jurisdictions.
Lockwood joins Lynx from Misys International Banking Systems, where he spent the last two years and was responsible for sales and business development in the offshore private banking and investment markets.
For the three years prior to Ian’s time at Misys, he was managing director of Johnson Klein, an asset management and investment group, based in Paris, specialising in high net worth financial management. Lockwood has also been operations director for FOREX and Investment group Laurion, based in Germany.
Commenting on his appointment, Lockwood said: “I am really looking forward to the coming months. It will be a great challenge to be working with such a committed sales team to take our software into new and emerging markets.
“It really is an exciting time to join Lynx. The recent rebranding, the success of 4Series in the marketplace and the launch of the 4Series.net internet banking product will really help us make a name for Lynx as one of the premier suppliers of cutting-edge banking technology.”
Lockwood said that he would be working closely with Lynx’s key development partners to take the company into new areas.
Lockwood added: “I’ll be drawing on my experience of both sides of the fence, selling banking technology and being a user of this technology as part of the international financial community, to really get to the heart of what our customers want from us. I intend to place us firmly as a solutions partner, not just a vendor with product to plug.”
John Mosedale, Lynx’s managing director, says that the appointment has come at an important time for the growth of the company.
Mosedale explained: “Our customers operate in niche markets that require technical sophistication and expert support. Our key asset, therefore, will always be our people and their knowledge. As a result, we select our senior team with care. We are very pleased to have Ian on board; his background, knowledge and experience will be a great asset to us.
