Lou Lebedin Out as Global Head of Prime Brokerage at J.P. Morgan

Lou Lebedin has been replaced as global head of prime brokerage at J.P. Morgan. Teresa Heitsenrether, the London-based co-head of fixed-income prime brokerage, will be his successor, according to a source with direct knowledge of the matter.

Lebedin became global head of prime brokerage in March. He had served as co-head of the division along with Andrea Angelone, who left the role to become head the Equity Treasury business at J.P. Morgan. 


Lebedin joined J.P. Morgan when the bank bought Bear Stearns global clearing services division. At Bear Stearns, he served as CFO then COO before becoming head of the prime brokerage business. He is also a GC Legend.

A spokeswoman declined to comment on the reason behind his departure from the role. The Wall Street Journal reported that Lebedin remains with the firm but that his new role was not clear.
