Infonet Services Corporation will provide Lloyd’s Register, under a new multi-year contract, with its Infonet managed MPLS-enabled IP VPN Secure wide area network, providing secure, cost-effective global communications to more than 50 of the company’s sites throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas, it said.

In making the decision to partner with Infonet for its communications needs, Lloyd’s Register highlighted Infonet’s ability to deliver a scalable and secure global network that improves both the performance and accessibility of Lloyd’s Register in-house systems and mission-critical e-business applications. Lloyd’s Register also recognized the ability of Infonet’s Mobility Services to address its requirement for anytime, anywhere secure remote network access for mobile employees.
