LJH Global Investments, LLC, a global hedge fund advisory firm, announced today the opening of a San Francisco office.

LJH Global Investments-San Francisco is located at Spear Tower, One Market Plaza. Under the leadership of President James R. Hedges, IV and Managing Director-San Francisco David P. Lancaster, the new office will support the firm’s work throughout the Western United States.

“David Lancaster brings to our firm a particular expertise in derivatives and equity monetization strategies that will help our clients access and capture the hedge fund opportunities sourced through LJH’s research team. Our San Francisco office will focus on the same extensive due diligence, research and quality investment decisions for which our firm is known,” said James R. Hedges, IV.

As Managing Director of LJH’s San Francisco Office, David Lancaster is responsible for LJH’s client development initiatives throughout the Western United States. His career includes 20 years in the investment field, including experience as a money manager, risk manager, and options market maker. Prior to joining LJH, he was Director of Institutional Sales at a financial services specialty firm in San Francisco that offered tax advantaged structured financial transactions to high net worth investors and financial advisory firms.

He previously was a principal at Keystone Investment Advisors and managed the firm’s San Francisco office, which focused on brokerage and advisory services for high net worth individuals. He also spent eight years as an options market maker specializing in equity, fixed income, and foreign exchange options for O’Connor & Associates (now UBS Warburg), and as an independent member of the American Stock Exchange, the Pacific Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

He holds several investment industry licenses, including his Series 7 Registered Representative, Series 24 General Securities Principal, Series 4 Registered Options Principal, Series 8 Branch Manager, and Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law. He earned his B.A. in Economics, cum laude, at Vanderbilt University in 1982.
