The International Association of Money Transfer Networks appoints Leon Isaacs to the position of Managing Director for the Association.
Leon Isaacs will be introduced in his new role at MTL conference in London on 17 and 18 November 2008. As a managing director Isaacs will contribute 16 years experience in remittances and payment services. He is CEO of the remittances and development services business Developing Markets Associates Ltd. as well as a steering group member of the DFID supported UK Remittances Task Force.
Isaacs has been an Advisory Board member of IAMTN since the creation of the Association and has been its representative on the World Bank and G8’s Private Public Partnership Steering Group.
I am delighted that Leon will adopt this leadership role within IAMTN, says George Piskov, director, IAMTN.
IAMTN has already achieved a lot in a short period of time and I hope that in the future we can add more value to the businesses that operate in this very challenging arena and ultimately to all those people who transfer money back home to support their families, says Leon Isaacs. I would like to see IAMTN increase its activities in the key areas of interest to its members and continue to develop its role as a thought leader.
