Lehman Brothers has made another three hires from Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) as it continues to expand its investment banking interests in Canada.

The recruitment of Sean Naylen, Dominic Hodel and Dan Blitt, who are to work as vice president, associate and analyst respectively, comes after the company appointed fellow former-CIBC employee Timothy Kitchen to head up the company’s bid for a share of Canada’s Calgary-based thriving energy market.

Lehman’s new round of hires, which also includes Marijane Ashforth from Fort Chicago Energy Partners, will bring Lehman’s staff in Calgary to 11 by the end of March.

“It certainly demonstrates Lehman’s commitment to the Calgary marketplace, which has been historically one of the more active markets from a transaction perspective in the energy sector,” says Kitchen. “This boosts Lehman’s capability to service a number of the Calgary-based clients,” he adds.
