Lehman Brothers, the global investment bank, has appointed Andrew Wright as managing director and chief financial officer of Europe. Wright will be responsible for the financial management of Lehman Brothers in Europe, including treasury, tax, product control, financial control, and financial planning and analysis. In this role, he reports to Jeremy Isaacs, chief executive officer, Europe and Asia, and to Chris O’Meara, global chief financial officer. Wright will also become a member of the Firm’s European Operating Committee.
Wright joins from Deutsche Bank, where he held a number of senior positions within the finance department over the past ten years, most recently as global chief financial officer for their Private Client and Asset Management division and regional chief financial officer for Continental Europe. He originally joined Deutsche Bank as global head of Investment Banking Controlling. Before joining Deutsche Bank, he worked for UBS, where he managed global product control and risk, based in Zurich. Prior to this, he spent 8 years working for Morgan Stanley International, in the product control area.
