LCH Announces Non-Executive Director Appointments

London Clearing House (LCH) appointed David Pritchard and David Robins as non-executive directors of the company. They will join the Board with effect from 26 November 2001.

David Pritchard is currently Group Director, Wholesale and International Banking at Lloyds TSB, having joined TSB as Group Treasurer in 1995 following a career in merchant and investment banking spanning over 30 years. From 1996 to 1998, David was seconded to the Securities and Investments Board (SIB), where he was responsible for regulation and supervision of the UK’s markets and exchanges, as well as for SIB’s international activities. At Lloyds TSB, he now presides over a division with some 22,000 staff, which generated pre-tax profits of 1.25 billion in 2000. His great breadth of experience encompasses a wide range of business activities, both domestic and international.

Having begun his career as an economist at the Bank of England, David Robins spent 18 years with UBS Group, in London, New York, Tokyo and Zurich, finally becoming Chief Executive of UBS UK and Head of Region Europe. In 1998 he became Chief Executive and subsequently Chairman of ING Barings, where he was instrumental in reorganising and refocusing its business. David has enormous and very highly respected experience of many differing sectors of the securities industry.
