The state government of Lagos announced the stock exchange will be closed March 24 and 25 to acknowledge a public holiday after the nation-wide census concludes.

The stock exchange is closed for business and there will be no trading for the remainder of this week.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has also cancelled all FX auctions for the remainder of the week. All other financial institutions will be closed for business on the public holidays.

The Lagos state government has also announced a restriction of movement throughout the federation between the hours of 08h00 and 16h00 pm till March 25 to enable the residents of each state to take part in the public census.
