Following the creation of its Asia Division in Paris in January, and the launch of its website dedicated to technology intelligence and practice in Asia, the BNP Paribas Technology Intelligence Centre known as “L’Atelier” has gained a foothold in Shanghai.
This new technology intelligence division is managed and moderated by Patrice Nordey, head of L’Atelier BNP Paribas Asie.
“We chose to settle right in Shanghai, China’s main economic centre, in order to cover the whole spectrum of Asian high-tech innovation landscape; this will also give us the opportunity to develop our contact base in the local community of start-ups, research centers, and IT leaders in China, Japan, and South Korea,” says Patrice Nordey, manager of L’Atelier BNP Paribas Asie.
“The Shanghai centre is the last member of our existing international network including L’Atelier North America in San Francisco. With this new extension of the Paris-based Atelier, BNP Paribas has built an exclusive international intelligence resource meeting its internal technology and innovation challenges and those of its clients,” adds Louis Treussard, general manager, L’Atelier BNP Paribas.
Like L’Atelier BNP Paribas USA and the Paris-based entity, L’Atelier BNP Paribas Asie will provide Chinese companies and IT professionals with a “knowledge-hub” in order to better identify and understand the specific challenges related to IT and communication technology development.
