Citibank says it has established with the CSRC that the following documents will be required to be notarised and translated into Chinese for QFII applications: certificate of incorporation, business license; top management qualifications; and a statement that the applicant has not suffered substantial penalties from regulators in its home country in any of the three years prior to application. Citibank adds that the Custody Agreement between the QFII applicant and its QFII custodian has to be translated only, and not notarised.
