Kaufman Rossin Fund Services (KRFS) has hired James Davis, former senior vice president of the Prime Brokerage division of Jefferies, to head a new Dallas, Texas, office for the fund administrator.

The new KRFS office will focus on administration and relationship management for hedge funds, commodity pools, fund of funds, private equity funds and family offices. It will support KRFSs U.S. Southwest regional client base with a services including accounting, valuation, middle- and back-office outsourcing, investor services, treasury and tax services.

Jorge R. de Cardenas, co-founder and director of KRFS, says the firm opened the Texas office to better serve clients in the region. Our physical presence along with the experience and leadership of James Davis reinforces our commitment to serve this leading alternative investment community, he says.

Prior to Jefferies, Davis was CFO of a Texas based hedge fund.
