SunGard says KAS Bank has bought MINT to help its migration to SWIFTNet.

KAS Bank’s current in-house system provides a connection to the legacy X.25 SWIFT network only, the bank was looking for a scalable solution that could act as a non-invasive ‘bridge’ between its current system and SWIFTNet. SunGard says KAS Bank will not need to purchase any additional integration or gateway software as part of the project since MINT contains all the necessary connectivity modules.

“We were looking for the most effective way to achieve our SWIFTNet migration timescales and SunGard demonstrated both the capability and the flexibility that we needed,” says Dick Korpel, assisting managing director, KAS Bank. “We are confident that MINT will deliver a real advantage to our financial message processing operations and are delighted to have SunGard as our partner in this venture.”

Danny Barsella, president of SunGard Business Integration, said he was pleased to have KAS Bank as a MINT customer. “We look forward to helping KAS Bank achieve its goal of improved financial messaging and working with it on its future messaging plans,” he says.
