KAS BANK N.V. intends to appoint Nico E. Blom as a member of its managing board, replacing Jan van Veenendaal, who will retire by mid-2006.
The Nederlandsche Bank has approved the appointment, but Blom’s appointment must first be approved by the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.
Blom’s responsibility within the managing board will focus on improving service range, and will include securities services and payments, investment administration and information systems.
Blom has been working with KAS BANK since 1992, holding various management positions. Since 2003, he has acted as head of the securities services division.
Blom holds a degree in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
