JPMorgan Treasury Services has appointed Conor O’Dowd as Regional Head of Global Trade Asset Distribution in EMEA to cater for the growing demand from its clients for risk and balance sheet management techniques around their trade business. JPMorgan Treasury Services has invested significantly in developing web-based trade services in order to enable its clients to achieve greater efficiency through the automation of traditionally paper-based trade processes.

O’Dowd joins JPMorgan Treasury Services after twelve years at American Express Bank in London where he occupied a number of different roles. Most recently he was a Director in Trade Asset Sales where he was responsible for syndications and the placement of loan and trade assets in the secondary market.

Alexander Caviezel, Head of Trade Services, JPMorgan Treasury Services, EMEA, comments: “Conor has extensive experience within this sector and will play a pivotal role in further enhancing our trade services palette. Besides the traditional disciplines of secondary distribution and insurance, Conor’s appointment is a key part of JPMorgan Treasury Services’ strategy to provide a well-rounded set of trade services to our clients as they increasingly move to electronic solutions – the unique challenge being that automation leads to aggregation of transactions and as such, a new concentration of risk profiles.”
