The Institutional Trust Services business of JPMorgan has hired Christiane Macedo as head of product management for GlobeClear in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

JPMorgan’s GlobeClear product supports banks and broker/dealers requiring their own settlement infrastructure by providing a single window into clearing and settlement infrastructure in 55 international markets.

Macedo joins from BNP Paribas where she was responsible for client coverage in Milan, and brings with her 10 years of experience in custody and clearing. Based in London, Macedo will report to Terry Boyland, global business manager for securities and settlement and GlobeClear.

“Market developments are driving more demand for our GlobeClear offering,” says Boyland. “With the reduction of barriers to entry on exchanges, broker/dealers increasingly need an infrastructure that allows them to trade directly on exchange. We have seen an increased demand for GlobeClear in line with this development, particularly over the past year.”
