Nicolas Galmiche will join JP Morgan on 23 February, as a managing director and European head of government bond trading.

“Nicolas has the background and personality to partner effectively with our large derivatives business,” says Ashley Bacon, co-head of European interest rate markets at JPMorgan. “Through Nicolas’s leadership we intend to further increase our market share in the European government bond market with strong links into JPMorgan’s leading derivatives business.”

Galmiche joins JPMorgan having spent three years at BNP Paribas, initially based in New York as head of the US government bond business and more recently head of European government bonds based in London. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, he was head of the arbitrage and bond options desk for North America at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York.

Galmiche will be based in London and report to Bacon and Michael Davie, co-heads of European interest rate markets at JPMorgan.
