JP Morgan Makes New Hire To Securities Lending Team

JP Morgan hired Christopher Kunkle to its securities lending management team for the Western hemisphere region. He will head a client management and sales team for the mutual fund segment. Kunkle joins as a vice president, based in New York.

JP Morgan hired Christopher Kunkle to its securities lending management team for the Western hemisphere region. He will head a client management and sales team for the mutual fund segment.

Kunkle joins as a vice president, based in New York. He will report to Gene Picone, senior vice president and head of JP Morgan securities lending and execution products in the Western hemisphere region.

“His deep experience and strong relationships in the securities lending community makes him an invaluable addition to JPMorgan,” Picone said.

Kunkle has more than 21 years of experience in the financial services industry and spent the past 13 years in global securities lending. Prior to joining JP Morgan, he served as first vice president at Mellon Bank, where he was responsible for product management and development within securities lending.

He has also held top posts at several firms including Fleet Boston, Bankers Trust Company, Merrill Lynch, Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. and Dean Witter
