Former Fortis Prime Fund Solutions maven Joost Lbler has been named Equity Trust’s new commercial director of fund services activities.
“Equity Trust is committed to developing its Fund Services activities rapidly in the coming 2-3 years, both organically as well as by acquisitions,” says Hugo van Vredenburch, CEO of the Equity Trust group. “I am confident that Joost’s commercial expertise in the fund services industry will help us considerably in achieving these goals in the years to come.”
Lbler joins Equity Trust after almost a year as an advisor to the board of the Citco Group Limited. Prior to that, he was the chief commercial officer for Fortis Fund Services.
In his new position, Lbler will concentrate on expanding global fund services activities for hedge funds and funds of funds. Though Equity Trust is ranked in the top three in the world as a leading provider of trust and fiduciary services, the company aims to become a major global player in the fund service market in the coming years.
