JLT Benefit Solutions Ltd (JLT) has launched a new Benefits Portal in response to employer and employee needs. The portal is an online administration system that enables employers to manage all of their employee benefits online creating significant cost savings whilst reducing the operational risks and liabilities.

It is a single location for the administration and communication of all benefits even if they are from a number of providers. The Portal can be an end in itself or a first step on the journey toward providing more choice and flexibility for employees.

The Portal can be branded in line with your employer brand and employees can access via a secure URL from anywhere in the world. Once logged in the employee will be able to see their personal details (and update them via self service) as well as their individual benefits, access modellers, connect through to other provider sites and view their total reward.

Jon Bryant, Regional Director, JLT, says, “Each of the benefits would contain an explanation of what the benefit is, how much it costs you to provide for your employees and how it works, along with links to policy documents and claim forms. The site can be used to gain the employees’ electronic agreement to various decisions including salary exchange (also known as salary sacrifice) removing cumbersome paperwork from the equation”.

JLT’s recent research found that (76%) of companies are looking to improve benefits administration and increase the return on investment in operational services. The Benefit Portal is an excellent first step in this process.

Jon Bryant continues, “It can help to decrease the administration burden on HR and Financial departments whilst ensuring benefit packages are actively working to a company’s advantage. Our survey also found that two thirds (66%) of respondents are actively looking at ways in which to improve their benefit communication. The Portal can improve employee understanding and appreciation of their entire benefits package, improving employee engagement, creating a system for regular communication of all benefits”.
