Monument Securities, the independent company that services institutions and professional investors, has hired Christopher Jeffrey as Senior Portfolio Manager.

Jeffrey, aged 42, joins Monument Securities from Lombard Odier International, where he previously worked as Vice President (UK equities). In this role he was responsible for $400 million of investment funds.

Before Lombard Odier, he was Investment Director at Hill Samuel Asset Management, a Company he joined in 1981 and where he worked for 19 years.

Monument Securities established a new investment division, Monument Investment Management, in December 2002. At the same time, Monument launched the Marcellus Fund, a pan-European hedge fund.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Chris who will further strengthen our team,” says Grant Cullens, Monument Securities Chief Investment Officer. “His experience of UK and European equities, which spans over 20 years, will be of considerable benefit to the Company.” Martin Burton, Monument Securities, Chief Executive Officer, adds:

“The appointment of Chris ties in with our long-term strategy to continue to be a leading provider of independent financial services. Our plan is for the Marcellus Fund to be the first of a stable of funds run by our new investment division.”

Monument Securities says a recruitment drive is under way.
