Jeff McCarthy, senior vice president at Jefferies & Company Prime Brokerage and head of its West Coast capital introductions team, and Lindsay Ramar, an analyst on McCarthys team, have left the company.
Tom Tarrant, managing director and head of marketing for Jefferies, told Global Custodian the two have left the company but declined to comment further. It is not known if McCarthy and/or Ramar have taken on new positions elsewhere.
McCarthy joined Jefferies in 2007. He has 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, and before joining Jefferies was managing director at Alder Capital Management, LLC, according to a statement issued by Jefferies when he was hired by the prime broker. Before Alder, he was COO of G2 Capital Management.
Ramar joined Jefferies in February, previously having worked as an alternative investment analyst and portfolio management associate at Wells Fargo Family Wealth and US Trust, respectively, according to her profile on LinkedIn.
Jefferies was rated in Global Custodians 2011 Prime Brokerage Survey, which noted that Jefferies capital introductions offering shines less brightly than other services offered by the prime broker.
