James L. Kroeker will be taking over the role of Acting Chief Accountant in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of Chief Accountant. The position will require accounting interpretations, international accounting matters and professional practice issues.
Kroeker has played an important part since joining the SEC in 2007. His achievements include improving financial reporting and minimizing the complexity of financial disclosure.
“Jim Kroeker has consistently set high standards for achievement and excellence within the Office of the Chief Accountant,” says Chairman Christopher Cox. “His leadership, expertise, and judgment have been extraordinarily valuable assets for investors, our capital markets, and the agency.”
