Lou Lebedin has been appointed global head of Prime Brokerage at J.P. Morgan, overseeing the global prime brokerage business as well as the Client Experience, Prime Custody and Broker-Dealer Services divisions.
Lebedin previously was co-head of the division along with Andrea Angelone. Angelone has been appointed head the Equity Treasury business at J.P. Morgan, a spokesperson confirmed.
Lebedin will report to John Horner, head of equity and fixed income financing. In an internal memo distributed at the bank today, J.P. Morgan said the Prime Brokerage division remains a critical growth area internationally for the investment bank.
Lebedin joined J.P. Morgan when the bank bought Bear Stearns global clearing services division. At Bear Stearns, he served as CFO then COO before becoming head of the prime brokerage business.
Lebedin is also a GC Legend.
