J.P. Morgan Worldwide Securities Services has named Kirit Bhatia head of technical sales, Asia ex-Japan.

It is the second major appointment by J.P. Morgan in the region this week, following the appointment of David Koh as head of Treasury & Securities Services, China and head of Treasury Services, Greater China.

Responsible for developing complex, integrated asset servicing solutions for J.P. Morgan’s Asia-based clients, Bhatia will oversee a team covering securities lending, collateral management, alternatives, fund services, transition management and transfer agency. He will report in Asia-Pacific to Shaun Parkes, CEO of Asia-ex Japan for J.P. Morgan WSS, and globally to Paul Wilson, international head of Financing & Markets products sales and relationship management.

Bhatia transferred from J.P. Morgan London, where he held a number of senior sales, product and financial management positions within the firm’s Treasury & Securities Services and Investment Bank businesses.

“Kirit’s depth of knowledge and experience across our product and sales teams, combined with his proven client focus, will ensure J.P. Morgan continues to lead the way in increasing revenue and mitigating risk for our clients, says Parkes. Kirit and his team will drive the development of innovative, integrated solutions that deliver significant value for our clients, while at the same time providing a high-level strategic advisory service that will help guide our clients through an increasingly complex financial landscape.”
