Iverson Financial Systems, a provider of market data management, says it has added Short Interest Monitor (SIM) – a comprehensive source of short interest data from the NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ that includes 15 years of historical short position information and continuous monthly updates – to its product set.

Iverson says that, for any firm involved in building investment analysis applications, doing securities research or charting trends, the new SIM service provides a “single, highly reliable, customizable source of short interest information covering the widest range of securities possible.”

Iverson data analysts collect short interest data from all available sources and standardize the data to a single, unified format. Additionally, SIM provides the supporting information required to integrate short interest information into trading or benchmarking applications, including the reporting date for short positions, CUSIP number, exchange code, average daily volume and more. SIM clients can customize the delivery of the data to their needs – either continuously as it becomes available from individual exchanges, or consolidated and delivered all at once.

“Iverson has been servicing some of the biggest names in the investment business for many years by delivering high quality, reliable market data services,” says Kent Lazarus, President and COO of Iverson Financial Systems. “The addition of SIM to our managed services offerings is based on that same drive to ensure that our clients receive the most extensive, accurate information possible.”
