The London-based Investment Management Association (IMA) has appointed Mona Patel as Head of Communications, with immediate effect.
Patel joins the Association from a background in public affairs spanning some 10 years, most recently as Deputy Head of Public Affairs at the Consumers Association (CA), where she was responsible for the launch of CA’s Scottish office.
A law graduate, she has also worked for the Royal National Institute for the Blind and the UK Coalition Against Poverty and has held several campaigning posts in her career.
“We would very much like to welcome Mona to the team,” says Richard Saunders, Chief Executive of the IMA. “A strong communications focus has long been one of the Association’s priorities and Mona’s wealth of experience both as a lobbyist and a communicator will make her a valuable addition to the IMA.”
